Description: This excursion has been designed to give you an overview of the island. See the interior of the island, banana plantations and visit the ‘scenic’ town of Soufriere. A comfortable bus ride takes you from your hotel and along a scenic route with breathtaking views of the island’s west coast and rainforest areas. You will journey through the fishing villages of Anse La Ray and Canaries before arriving in Soufriere, home of one of St. Lucia world heritage sites, the Majestic Pitons which rises out of the ocean. Your first stop is at the Sulphur Springs, one of the world’s only “drivein volcanos” and marvel at the bubbling holes of super heated sulphuric water as they spout out steam. You then continue onto the Botanical Gardens with Diamond Waterfall and Mineral Baths. Your final stop is at a local restaurant for a refreshing local juice drink. (This is also the stop at which lunch or snacks will be served on tours which include these options).
