Description:
An incredibly scenic journey by open-topped Land
Rover Jeep will bring you to the outskirts of the
western forests of Fond St. Jacques in Soufriere. The
trail takes you on an exhilarating one hour hike
(downhill all the way!!) through lush rain forest with
more shades of green than you thought existed. The
hidden waterfall and natural pool at the bottom provide
a welcome respite and you can swim and relax. From there
we begin the uphill return climb. Be sure to keep a
sharp eye out and be o
ne
of the lucky ones to spot the rare St. Lucian parrot, a
bird found no where else in the world! During your hike,
your St. Lucian Forestry guide will point out vanilla
vines, the lacey five-fingered leaf of the Bois Pain
Marron, brilliant heliconias, and other fascinating
flora and fauna. At the end of hike you return to your
jeep for short drive to a restaurant for a well-deserved
buffet lunch. Jeeps come stocked with soft drinks, beers
or rumpunch and water.
