 Description:
A comfortable air-conditioned bus or Safari jeep
picks you up for the scenic drive to the fishing village
of Anse-La-Raye. This route takes you though part of
fully cultivated banana plantations and various fruit
trees. Once in the village, you board your mountain
bikes (helmets mandatory). A brief ride through the
village with its historical Roman Catholic Church, takes
you to a country road for some fun. The trail takes you
though the outskirts of lush secondary forest,
accompanied by bird song, fresh air and a gurgling
river. Be one with nature and come up close with some of
our fascinating animal and plant life. At the first leg
of the ride is an exhilarating walk to a picturesque
waterfall. Then it’s back on the bikes for a short ride
to a n atural
river pool for a refreshing dip in the cool mountain
water. The return ride takes you back to your original
departure point for some light snacks at a restaurant
and restroom facility. There is time for a quick stroll
through the village before beginning your short scenic
return drive. Bottled water, sodas and rum punch or
beers are complimentary.
Remarks: The biking portion of the tour is not
recommended for children under 12 years old, the
elderly, persons with limited mobility and heart
conditions. Guests who refuse to wear their safety
helmets will not be allowed to participate in the bike
portion of the tour. |
